Dayton International sits north of Dayton near the junction of I-75 and I-70. From downtown the trip runs north on I-75 through the Butler and Warren county suburbs, past Dayton, and then west on I-70 to the airport exit. West Chester and Mason are already partway up that corridor, which is why those travelers sometimes hold DAY tickets. Construction zones, winter weather and incidents on I-75 are the main timing risks.
If none of those apply, check whether the flight is really out of CVG before you book the car.
