CVG airport shuttle options and pickup locations

Published

Travelers leaving Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) can continue by TANK Airporter bus, shared-ride shuttle, hotel courtesy shuttle, taxi or app ride, or a reserved private car or van. Choose among those five formats by destination coverage, where you will meet, whether you need to reserve ahead, how bags and group size fit, and what remains after midnight. CVG ground transportation

The airport's official directions put limousines, taxis, shared rides, rideshare, and transit at Ground Transport East. Hotel and parking shuttles use Ground Transport West. Those are signed ground-transport areas, not a generic terminal curb. A reserved private car still follows the assigned operator's meeting instructions. TANK confirms Route 2X, the Airporter, between downtown Cincinnati and CVG. The current TANK fare page lists a local cash fare of $2 and a TANK 1-day pass of $4, exact cash with no change. Those figures apply as published on that fare page. Check the live Airporter route page for today's timetable, direction, and alerts before you travel. Hotel courtesy shuttles are a hotel product. They are not a downtown Cincinnati transfer unless the hotel says that destination is covered. Ask the hotel about reservation rules, room-key requirements, and the last courtesy run for your landing hour. CVG ground transportation

A reserved sedan, SUV, S-Class, or Sprinter is an itinerary quote. Hourly charter, when you want the vehicle held, is estimated at $120, $150, $230, and $240 per hour with a three-hour minimum ($360, $440, $690, and $710). Waiting during that reserved hourly block uses reserved time. A delayed landing does not by itself convert a one-way transfer into hourly service. See the rates page for the hourly display figures.

TANK AirporterDowntown Cincinnati stops on Route 2X. Hotel porte-cocheres and suburban offices are covered only if those stops are on the current timetable.Transit pickup is at Ground Transport East. Follow current airport signs and TANK stop notices, including any posted detour. No private-car reservation. Pay the current TANK fare on board. Confirm today's timetable, direction, and alerts before you rely on a specific trip. You handle your own bags on a public bus. Large groups and oversized luggage are a poor fit when the bus is full.Check the live Airporter route page for the last trip that matches your landing. If the bus is not running, use another format. Shared rideShared vans and similar permitted shuttles serve destinations those operators cover. Confirm whether your hotel or address is on that operator's list.Shared ride is listed at Ground Transport East, with a shared-ride desk in the airport's ground-transport information. Follow current signs. Many shared-ride trips are booked ahead; some walk-up service may exist at the desk. Confirm fare, hours, and coverage with the operator you choose.Space is shared with other parties. Bags and group size depend on the van that is running. The airport notes limited after-midnight walk-up service. Confirm whether that desk is staffed for your landing. Hotel shuttleOnly the hotels that operate a courtesy or contract shuttle, usually to that hotel or its parking product. Ask the hotel whether downtown Cincinnati or another address is covered.Hotel and parking shuttles use Ground Transport West, not Ground Transport East.Ask the hotel before you fly whether you need a reservation, a room key, or a specific pickup window. Hours are the hotel's, not the airport's.Luggage policy is the hotel's. A family with many checked bags should confirm van capacity with the hotel.Ask whether your landing hour is covered. If it is not, plan TANK, a taxi or app ride, or a reserved car from Ground Transport East. CVG ground transportation CVG ground-transport directions
Taxi or app rideMetered or app-priced trips to the address you enter. Coverage and price are whatever that taxi or app will confirm for downtown, suburbs, or Northern Kentucky.Taxis and rideshare are listed at Ground Transport East. Follow the airport signs and the app pin. Do not copy that pin onto a reserved private-car confirmation.Taxis can be hired at the stand. App rides need an account. Confirm the current price in the app or with the taxi operator.Vehicle size varies. A sedan-sized app car may not fit a party of six with airport bags.Confirm live taxi or app availability for your landing hour. A reserved car can be booked before you land, subject to affiliate availability. CVG ground transportation CVG ground-transport directions
Reserved private car or vanA named hotel, office, hospital, or venue door in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, or a quoted regional destination.Ground Transport East unless the assigned operator sends different meeting instructions. Do not treat a rideshare pin or hotel-shuttle West area as the private-car curb unless your confirmation uses that place.Book ahead with flight number, passenger and bag counts, child-seat or mobility notes, and the exact door. Transfers are itinerary quotes.Planning limits are sedan 3/3, SUV 6/6, S-Class 3/3, and Sprinter 12/12, subject to the assigned configuration. Groups above 12 need a coordinated quote.A reserved car can be booked for late arrivals. Confirm wait policy on the quote. A delayed flight does not by itself move a one-way transfer onto hourly charter. CVG ground transportation CVG ground-transport directions

Late-arrival planning at CVG

After-midnight planning starts with the format you chose. The airport lists limited after-midnight walk-up service among ground-transport options. Confirm the operator, the hotel, or the live TANK timetable for the landing you actually have. CVG ground transportation

TANK Route 2X last trips, direction, and detour alerts live on the Airporter route page. If your flight is late, check that page rather than a remembered last bus. Local cash fare $2 and a TANK 1-day pass of $4 remain the fare facts cited here, exact cash with no change, as listed on the TANK fare page. TANK Airporter route TANK fares

Ask the hotel whether a courtesy shuttle covers your landing hour. If it does not, plan another format from Ground Transport East. A reserved private car can be quoted for that landing when an affiliate is available. Share the flight number and confirm wait policy. Waiting on a transfer is an itinerary term. Waiting during reserved hourly service uses the hourly block. CVG ground transportation CVG ground-transport directions

Destination checklist before you leave the terminal

Match the destination to the format. Downtown Cincinnati bus stops on TANK 2X are not the same as a hotel porte-cochere. A hotel shuttle at Ground Transport West usually returns to that hotel or parking lot, not to Fountain Square, First Financial Center, or Over-the-Rhine. For suburban offices in Blue Ash, West Chester, and Mason, and for private-aviation connections at Lunken, confirm with the hotel, the TANK timetable, or the operator you choose rather than assuming a courtesy van covers those doors. CVG ground transportation TANK Airporter route

For a reserved car, send this list with the quote: airline and flight number; passenger count and bag count against sedan 3/3, SUV 6/6, S-Class 3/3, or Sprinter 12/12; the exact downtown hotel, office, hospital, or venue door; child seats or mobility notes; and whether you need an agreed wait, extra stop, or return. Hourly estimates are $120, $150, $230, and $240 with a three-hour minimum. Transfers remain itinerary quotes. Amenities and exact models are confirmed on the assignment.

Name the last block. First Financial Center, formerly the Duke Energy Convention Center, needs an entrance, not only "the convention center." Riverfront hotels, Great American Ball Park, and Paycor Stadium have different legal stopping points, and some Paycor lots require event parking passes. Hyde Park Square, Summit Park, Kings Island, Cincinnati Children's, and UC Medical Center each need a door. This is entrance planning, not medical transport.
